SARIS ON THE WALK
SARIS ON THE WALK
'Saris on the walk' series depict how a 6 yards of fabric simply worn by individuals across India differs in various ways. If clearly observed on India streets one can find more than 100 ways of draping a sari and each style has its own individual expression regardless of what age or gender it is worn by. The sari series not only highlights the versatility of one's draping styles but also the textures, hues, fabrics, prints, history, craftsmanship and generations bonding over on this one piece of garment.
ACCESSORIES
ACCESSORIES
It often happens that we miss out the simplest of things on the streets. Notice carefully, the vintage nose pin of the lady selling flowers, grey haired woman with a flower garland in her bun out for shopping in her silk sari or even a college student with a silk scarf worn interestingly to complete her look. Yes, these are the simplest of things you can look here for inspiration. Simple, Pretty and Interesting!
EVENTS
EVENTS
The series highlights the monthly events from fashion weeks to art fair, exhibitions to small meetups. We all know that people give a little more effort in their street style looks from what we see on streets. This can be a inspiration for many. So do let me know if you're attending any event because I would love to capture your 'Indie on streets' look. In case, you don't find me there, post your look on your social media with #indieonstreets and find yourself under 'Feature' looks tags.
